Nevern Castle as you see it today couldn’t be more different to that of the 12th century. Now a wide open space, it is the perfect area from which to enjoy the abundant flora and fauna. In spring enjoy the colourful carpet of primroses, bluebells and orchids. Look up and you may catch a glimpse of circling buzzards; look down for evidence of dormice; see bats darting about on summer evenings and watch butterflies and insects flitting around.
